Md Mijanur Rahman, Niklas Schulmeyer, and Luis Alarcon, representing our Lab, participated in the Riata Business Plan Competition in January 2024. Their innovative business plan, titled "Capt.AI.n," aims to enhance the efficiency, safety, and accessibility of pilot training through an AI-enabled software solution designed to support Certified Flight Instructors (CFI). This business plan seamlessly integrated the lab's diverse research into a targeted solution, presenting a distinctive value proposition within the flight training market. The team achieved notable success by winning the Elevator Pitch Segment of the competition and emerged as finalists in the Hi-tech category. As a recognition of their outstanding efforts, the team was awarded a $1500 scholarship. The Riata Business Plan Competition, organized by the RIATA Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University, served as a platform for showcasing their entrepreneurial vision and technological innovation.
